In cooperation with the membrane and module manufacturer MICRODYN-NADIR in Wiesbaden HUBER has completely redesigned its unique Membrane Filtration VRM® plant for the application in membrane activated sludge processes.
The new Membrane Filtration VRM® now combines the advantages of a rotating membrane system with the benefits of the well-proven BIO-CEL® module. This means in practice reduced investment and operating costs yet increased operating reliability.
Since decades, HUBER has relied on the screw press technology when it comes to sludge dewatering. At IFAT 2016, we will for the first time show the next generation of our screw press, the HUBER Screw Press Q-PRESS®. With its new design the HUBER Screw Press Q-PRESS® represents best dewatering capacity and maximum energy efficiency. Easy operation and maintenance are additional advantages of this machine which is available in four different sizes.
In the past years, HUBER implemented numerous national and international projects of thermal sewage sludge treatment. One of the remarkable current examples is the project Bayreuth where a fully automatic solar sewage sludge drying plant has been installed with HUBER products and technology. The plant is designed for a capacity of 300,000 PE. A HUBER Sludge Turner SOLSTICE® is installed in each of the five sludge drying lines. Comprehensive information will be available on the HUBER booth on this modern, future-oriented sewage sludge drying project for interested visitors. The HUBER Belt Dryer BT is a suitable alternative to solar sewage sludge drying. The specialists from HUBER develop energy-efficient and economical solutions which are tailored to any local requirements. A new intelligent control concept ensures that HUBER Belt Dryer BT units are continuously operated fully automatically at their optimum. The last step in the process chain is the thermal utilisation of the treated sludge which we provide with our sludge2energy system.
As HUBER is a global market leader in the field of mechanical wastewater treatment IFAT 2016 is a welcome opportunity for us to present our latest further developments of screens.
We will for the first time show the HUBER Drum Screen LIQUID, which can be equipped with either perforated plate, wedge wire or mesh and is therefore suitable for a variety of different applications. Particularly worth mentioning is that this drum screen can be used to replace a primary settlement tank with the result of reduced investment costs and significantly reduced space requirements.
The HUBER Multi-Rake Bar Screen RakeMax® has been sold for thousands of well-proven installations all over the world. We will exhibit different designs of the RakeMax® as both coarse and fine screen and for the first time the HUBER RakeMax® hybrid screen. The special feature of this type of screen is a bar rack that is manufactured from highly wear-resistant special plastic material.
The HUBER Coarse Screen TrashMax® and HUBER Belt Screen EscaMax® with some new design details will complete the exhibits of the proven HUBER Max screen family.
HUBER has offered well-proven machines for screenings treatment for many years already. New machines of this product line will be presented for the first time, they have been developed for the use on large sewage plants: the HUBER Wash Press WAP® 12 and HUBER Wash Press WAP® liquid. The latter has been developed especially for the treatment of screenings from very fine screens.
Heating and cooling with wastewater – an innovative idea which HUBER has successfully implemented in a lot of projects. The heart of the HUBER ThermWin® system is the highly efficient and self-cleaning HUBER Heat Exchanger RoWin. Diverse examples of projects demonstrate the great variety of application possibilities this system offers with regard to Green Buildings. The HUBER Compact MBR System smartMBR system completes the range of HUBER solutions for sustainable buildings. The well-structured design size concept (from 10 to 75 m³/day) ensures maximum efficiency of wastewater clarification in a simple way. The high-quality effluent can be reused for various purposes.
HUBER places special focus on the safety of drinking water and shows practical solutions of burglary prevention for objects in the field of drinking water supply and wastewater treatment which need to be protected. We will exhibit products which are suitable to achieve such object protection: attack-proof doors certified to security of resistance class RC 3 and RC 4 according to EN 1627 and attack-proof manhole covers.
